Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Telecommunications Officer / Telemarketer to join our client's team in downtown St. Louis, MO . This is an onsite, temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone with a passion for customer engagement, lead generation, and supporting a fast-paced inside sales team.

$18-20 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-volume outbound phone calls to prospective students and leads, with a focus on qualifying interest and setting appointments for the admissions/sales team.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by providing accurate information, timely follow-up, and maintaining a professional and empathetic tone in all interactions.
  • Track and manage communications and activity within CRM and other systems to ensure accurate lead records and compliance with data protocols.
  • Respond to walk-ins, online inquiries, and phone calls directed to the admissions office in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
  • Schedule and host campus tours , ensuring a welcoming experience that aligns with the institution's mission and values.
  • Assist in lead qualification for programs and ensure proper documentation of student interest and eligibility.
  • Maintain regular communication with main campus departments for updates and collaboration.
  • Participate in on-campus and virtual recruitment events -some of which may require occasional overnight travel.
  • Flexibility to support evening and weekend phone outreach during peak recruitment periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the admissions and recruitment team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in telemarketing, inside sales , or appointment setting-preferably in professional services or education.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in internet use, comfort with evolving technologies, and adaptability to new systems.
  • Excellent listening skills , with a calm, professional, and empathetic communication style.
  • Onsite presence is essential -this is not a remote or hybrid role.
