Position: Wide Web Flexographic Press Operator

Location: Dalton, Georgia

Duration: Perm Placement

Rate: $25/hr-32/hr

Job Overview:

The Wide Web Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of printed materials. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operation of press: Configure the press according to job specifications, including selecting plates, inks, and materials. Ensure smooth operation and make necessary adjustments.



• Monitor print quality: Continuously check for imperfections such as misalignment, color variations, or ink coverage issues to maintain high-quality output.



• Perform maintenance and repairs: Conduct regular maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues during production.



• Ensure safety and compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.



• Document production details: Maintain detailed records of production runs, including setup parameters, print settings, and any encountered issues for future reference and quality control.



• Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure smooth production flow and achieve production goals.

Qualifications:

• Technical skills: Proficient in flexographic printing processes, including press setup, operations, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of color management, ink mixing, and plate mounting is a plus.



• Attention to detail: Ability to identify and correct printing defects or quality issues with precision.



• Mechanical aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.



• Physical stamina: Capable of standing, bending, and lifting heavy materials as required by the job.



• Communication skills: Effective communication to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately.



• Problem-solving skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime during production.

Pay Range: $25 - $32

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
