JOB TITLE: Warehouse Lead

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Warehouse Dock Lead will be responsible for leading and motivating a workgroup of Freight Handlers/Drivers in a manner that will achieve continuous measurable improvements as well as desired performance goals and results
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensuring and supervising the timely, damage-free loading and unloading of freight.
2. Ensuring a safe, healthy work environment.
3. Meeting requirements related to scheduling and customer demands.
4. Assisting freight handlers as well as Pick-Up and Delivery Drivers in their daily activities.
5.The primary function is to maintain inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items
6.The physical demand for this position is heavy lifting, exerting pounds of force to move objects.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: High School Diploma or comparable business experience Experience: - Transportation or service industry experience is preferred. -Effective planning, organizational and customer relationship-building skills. -Leadership skills to resolve conflicts, as well as keep Associates motivated and on-task. -Experience and knowledge of process improvement as a primary strategy for making continuous improvement preferred. -Communication skills to speak with Associates and Customers on a regular basis.
