Job Title: Senior HR Manager

Location (city, state): Skokie, IL (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)

Industry: Biotechnology / Manufacturing

Pay: $60–75/hour (Contract-to-Hire)

Job Description:

The Senior HR Manager will serve as the lead HR strategist and advisor to senior leadership, helping align human capital efforts with organizational goals. This individual will guide a lean HR team, spearhead system automation efforts, and implement forward-thinking people strategies that scale with growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the top HR leader, advising executives and guiding overall HR strategy.
  • Lead the digitization and automation of HR systems and processes, with a focus on Dayforce or comparable tools.
  • Align HR operations with business changes, including compensation, performance management, and culture.
  • Build scalable onboarding, talent acquisition, and workforce development processes.
  • Manage compliance, employee relations, and benefits strategy including 401(k) oversight.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and performance across all levels of the business.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR transformation or change management.
  • Experienced with an international employee population
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems; Dayforce or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner with executive teams.
  • Experience working in smaller organizational environments (ideally under 1,000 employees).
