Job Title : Program Manager

Location : Hybrid-Atlanta, GA (local residency required)

Hours : Full-time, Exempt

Reports To: Director of Program Management

Compensation: $65,000-$72,000 annually, commensurate with experience + year-end performance bonus

Job Overview :

The Program Manager – ATL plays a key role in implementing, managing, and growing BGS programming in Atlanta and across the Southern region. This position will lead the day-to-day execution of school-based and community-centered mental health initiatives, ensure alignment with BGS’s strategic goals, and support organizational learning and impact. This role requires strong project management skills, a passion for mental wellness and equity, and a commitment to working in partnership with youth, families, and community stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities :

Program Management :

  • Implement and oversee school-based and community mental health programs throughout the Southern region.
  • Manage program resources within the allocated budget and scope.
  • Act as a liaison for the Southern region to other Managers, effectively communicating program strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Program Management to identify expansion opportunities and align program strategies with BGS goals.
  • Manages all aspects of special projects and virtual offerings, such as BeWell Black Girl, Sports Program, Suicide Preventation Program, Kitchen Table Talk, and pilot initiatives.

Community Engagement & Operational Support :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for school and community partners within the Southern regions.
  • Cultivate relationships with community groups and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with communications, development, and operations teams for event and project execution.

Resource and Volunteer Coordination :

  • Facilitate volunteer coordination by posting needs from program leads to the volunteer management systems.
  • Maintain systems and databases for all programming needs.

Data Management and Reporting :

  • Support grant reporting and impact storytelling for local and special initiatives.
  • Lead data collection, analysis, and feedback implementation for Atlanta programming and special events.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in program coordination or management, with event planning experience preferred.
  • Strong ties to Atlanta’s youth-serving ecosystem; knowledge of Metro Atlanta schools and communities (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from vision to execution.
  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable working within a culturally diverse environment.
  • Familiarity with Southern cultural and educational contexts; existing regional relationships are a plus.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and equity-centered work

Additional Information:

  • Local travel within the Atlanta metro area is required.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary based on program needs.
