Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Power Operations/Scheduling Supervisor to lead our scheduling team in delivering energy efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively—aligned with market demand and operational priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily balancing on all active Power market areas
  • Manage all scheduling activities and related processes covering Power across relevant market areas and ISOs
  • Supervise and direct a team of junior schedulers and ensure coverage of scheduling tasks, including weekends
  • Maintain and manage company’s licensing status and relationship with the relevant system operators.
  • Timely physical position management and accurate systems booking
  • Ensure transparent, concise, and timely communication with the different commercial teams regarding physical positions, possible curtailments, and any maintenance events (scheduled or unscheduled)
  • Coordinate communication/work with the relevant internal and external parties including trading desk, counterparties, operations, IT, finance, risk, legal and various other business partners
  • Onboard and setup, in the relevant systems, new activities
  • Generate and lead efficiency improvement projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, finance, or an energy-related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in power operations, with specific exposure to PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, and/or ERCOT
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Prior experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems, including system configuration
  • Familiarity with tools used for position management and scheduling, as well as key nomination/scheduling portals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; programming skills in VBA, SQL, and Python are preferred
  • Experience setting up technical processes (e.g., secure communication channels with system operators) is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain high energy and motivation, and manage multiple tasks within deadlines
