Job Description

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Home Equity Loan Specialist to join their client's team in California. This full-time, onsite position offers an opportunity to ensure a smooth loan application process for both Fixed Rate second mortgage loans and HELOC loans. The role involves managing a variety of tasks including member communication, document review, and compliance assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Originates, processes, and submits both Fixed Rate second mortgage loans and HELOC loans for approval or denial, ensuring a smooth loan application approval process for members.
  • Handles a variety of incoming telephone calls within the Home Equity Unit from internal and external customers.
  • Reviews title policies, ensures vesting is acceptable, and works with title to update and correct vesting issues.
  • Analyzes equity applications for completeness, verifying income, liability, and credit documentation.
  • Prepares and delivers Closing Loan Documents to the branch for signing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assists members with completing loan applications and pre-qualifies borrowers, providing recommendations on proper equity programs.
  • Provides exceptional customer service through all stages of the loan decision cycle.
  • Contacts members to collect all supporting documentation required for a complete loan package and manages loan pipeline.
  • Develops and presents recommendations to underwriter and committee review for approval/denial of loan files.
  • Prepares closing instructions and orders loan documents, ensuring legality and accuracy.
  • Maintains compliance with all relevant regulations and completes required compliance training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years previous FNMA/FHLMC processing experience.
  • Completion of registration with the NMLS, including a satisfactory Federal-Level background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm ONSITE in Scripps Ranch

Wage

Competitive salary ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

90 Day contract
