We are currently looking for a Data Analyst/Program Specialist to support our client the Office of Head start/ Early Head Start in Dallas, TX.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and statistical and narrative data required for presentations and briefings.
  • Conducts comprehensive business process analyses to evaluate end-to-end engineer work processes for key client programs.
  • Involvement in developing, writing, and reviewing regulations and other policy issuances.
  • Leads policy issues related to data analysis.
  • Supports the design of requirements related to the development of data systems.
  • Analyzes a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the efficiency of programs, projects, and other broad strategic initiatives.
  • Manages data gathering activities and assists in ensuring maximum effectiveness in the quality of statistical analyses.
  • Presents recommendations and findings, identifies trends, and generates innovative suggestions for management improvements.
  • Drafts all charts/graphs/tables as needed for reports/presentations/briefings.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of data obtained under documents handled.
  • Coordinates with data stewards/data stakeholders on project plans.
  • Drafts documents based on results of data analysis.
  • Maintains project plans, updating as necessary.
  • Maintains budget spreadsheets, updating as necessary.
  • Drafts standard operating procedures and office policies.
  • Executes common management standards and business practices to ensure all assigned tasks meet established goals, objectives, and milestones.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS with 3–6 years of related experience conducting data analysis for federal clients or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous government agency experience highly desired, especially with Head Start data maintenance.
  • Must have federal clearance or be able to obtain clearance.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to develop tables, reports, create visualizations, and present results that logically support data-driven conclusions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel (pivot tables, macros, functions, formulas, etc.).
  • Experience developing analytic writing and presentations for audiences with varying levels of familiarity.
  • High-functioning knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments with deadlines and deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
